Ex Kingston alumni Neil Cummings came in to observe and give feedback in our latest pin up.
Some advice he gave was:
- Present work in a way that appears original, finishing off the aesthetic to the highest quality.
- Be aware of your space where you exhibit pieces, control it and make every decision an intentional choice. Master the studio you've got.
- Presentation is key, manipulate all these elements together, connecting them under one idea.
- understand the conventions of the materials you use, paying attention to what connotations they might also have.
